The Road to a New Austin Land Code

At its April 25 meeting, the Austin City Council took its first steps towards a renewed attempt to overhaul our city’s land development code. Last updated in 1984, Austin’s most recent attempt, CodeNEXT, ended in failure following a vote by Council to halt work in August.

As of now Council has decided on the following guide marks for a potential new code:
